The Compasses Cottage is within easy reach of ''Lovejoy'' country with loads of  Antique towns nearby, Long Melford, Clare and Cavendish are right on the door step.

If horse racing is your thing Newmarket with  it's  famous race course is only 20 minutes away.
How about some site seeing, the  historic wool towns of Lavenham and  kersey  are  only  a short drive away. Bury st Edmunds with it's  beautiful Abbey gardens,   Sudbury with  Gainsbourgh's house and the university city of Cambridge have many  interesting activities to keep you busy.

Or if you just want to relax in the quiet of the countryside just stay put and  enjoy the views or take a leisurely  walk  in the  superb Suffolk countryside.
